Most new homes look okay at first glance. But lurking under the plaster and paint you’ll often find major defects waiting to emerge as future problems. Sadly, most modern homes will need major (structural) renovation or even demolition within 30 years. This is a tragedy when you consider it doesn’t need to cost more to build houses (like ours) that will last 100+ years. It’s sad to see building companies collapse (one a month in Adelaide for the past few years). It’s terrible for the owners of these companies and devastating for their customers whose homes remain unfinished. But it’s inevitable because skilled tradesmen are often more creative than they are organised. Without the management processes to keep a house (let alone numerous houses) on schedule, money becomes tight, subbies don’t get paid on time, and the company becomes vulnerable. And every hour and dollar is accounted for, enabling us to be a stable and secure company.

We’ve built more than 100 homes and only ever been late (by one week) once (the site was shut down for 3 and half weeks due to torrential rain). That’s because we have the proven processes to set and stick to a strict building schedule.
