Here it is: most energy-efficient homes marketed in Adelaide… aren’t.
They’ve got a nice word or two on the brochure, and maybe some upgraded insulation or better windows — but they don’t actually perform that much better than your standard build.
And homeowners don’t usually realise that until they’ve moved in. That’s when they start wondering why their heating bills are still high, or why some rooms still feel uncomfortable.
The issue is, we’ve blurred the line between marketing and performance. And that gap catches people out.
At Enduro, we take performance seriously. Airtightness, thermal bridges, ventilation — all the invisible stuff that makes a difference when it’s 40 degrees outside or freezing in July.
We blower door test our homes. We model the performance before we build. And we check things properly — because “energy-efficient” should mean something you can actually feel.
This doesn’t mean you can’t build a home with us that has uncomfortable rooms or uncomfortable spaces…it just means you will know about it, before you’re locked into building, and you will have a variety of suggestions, with costs, in front of you to choose from to mitigate it.
Marketing can’t keep you warm in winter. Good building can.
